- Rising Action:
- Setting: It was an outside carnival in the 1600s at night in the country of Italy 2 men named Fortunado and Montresor where hanging out together at the carnival.
- Climax:
- When the two men were hanging out at the carnival Fortuado assaulted Montresor and that is when Montresor decided he needed to get revenge somehow that same night.
- Falling Action:
- Fortunado and Montresor decided to leave the carnival and went to Montresor's catacomb in his basement when they are down there Montresor is asking to go back upstairs using reverse physcology, but he is also getting Fortunado drinking ALOT.
- Resolution:
- When they are deep in the catacombs, Montresor chains Fortunato to a wall inside a small alcove and begins sealing it off with a wall of bricks closing in Fortunado.
- Fortunado screams at Montresor to get him out but Montreser just contiunes putting the bricks over him.
- Fortunado then dies, and Montresor leaves bones by the wall to make it seem like Fortunado has been dead in there for a long time, then Montresor leaves and goes on with his life like nothing ever happened that night.
