- The sun was salmon and hazy in the west. Dodong thought to himself that he is already old enough so he would tell his father about marrying Teang when he got home, after he had unhitched the carabao from the plow, and let it to its shed and fed it.
- When he told his plan, Dodong's Father looks like he disagrees and it made Dodong mad. He asked his Father to tell his Nanay about his plan of marrying Teang. Even though his parents disagree they still gave what Dodong wants.
- Months have passed after his decision, little by little, After all that, Dodong saw her wife with tbeir firstborn child named Blas. Dodong heard his baby cry abd coukd not control the swelling happiness in him. He also felt embarrassed because he is still not ready to provide for his family.
- Years have passed and Blas was not Dodong’s only child. Many more children came to their family. For six successive years, a new child came along. Dodong got angry with himself because of their situation. Teang did not complain, but the bearing of children told on her.
- Teang, secretly regretted being married at an early age. Teang wondered if it would be the same if he was married to Lucio instead. If she would have the same life. While Dodong, realized the hardship, the struggle of marrying at an earlu age.
- Years have passed, Dodong looked wistfully at his now 18 years old son, Blas under the moonlight. History repeats itself. Blas, in front of him, insists that he is already old enough to marry Tonya, asking for Dodong's permission. He felt extremely sad and sorry for him. Dodong did not object, but he tried to make Blas think twice because he does not want Blas to end up in a situation like him.
