  • This slide represents the ZigZag road to rights for African Americans during the Civil Rights movements. At this time the struggle for freedom was back and forth, like a zigzag. This means that sure something big would happen right for them, but then soon after they would likely experience a set back. This means that at this time the struggle for freedom was high, and it seemed the amount of freedom they would get is kind of unpredictable.
  • This slide will represent the What to the Slave writing. This writing was about a man named Frederick Douglas, one of the most brilliant writers because he started as a slave and then after he was fortunately freed he came to the North and learned to read and write. He started this process late and he still wrote so passionate and strong. He had to fight and struggle to try so save future slaves or even save current ones. The struggle has changed overtime because well all are givien free education but he had to struggle to try to make a difference.
  • Lincoln's Inaugural Address addressed how the U.S.A. just freed their slaves which was a huge step in the right direction for the time. This relates to how the struggle has changed because that made the struggle less, the struggle was still present, but there was less. That was an accomplishment, to have slavery abolished.
  • Brown vs Board of Education was all about the idea "separate but equal." This is where they divided the schools so white people and black people went to different schools, but they said they had equal opportunities but many felt that they were not given the same chances as white people. This relates to the idea of how the struggle has changed because through this struggle it made so there would have to be a little less struggle in the future for African Americans.
  • The last idea is the "Social Dilemma." This was a docu-drama about how much of our lives we are giving up to our phones. We use social media for pointless scrolling for so long everyday and they make money for us scrolling past ads. This relates to the struggle of freedom, where I think the struggle is going to be less and less and we are gonna stop trying more and more over the years until people realize and there will be a much bigger struggle if we don't do anything now.
