- the motive was because the french colonist enslaved many people mony of them were haitians. they treated them poorly.

- toussaint was the leader for the haiti. french,britain and spain sent there armies to haiti to stop the haitians. but they would set up fires and brutally murdered the french
- after the revolution slavery ended and haitian became a independent country. toussaint passed away after being arrested by napoleon's army
