  • We will not let you take control of our land!
  • The EIC believed heavily in imperialism Which was when one country takes control of another territory. If you disobeyed them you would be punished greatly. The EIC only used India for their wealth and land, and India knew about it too which caused conflict between the Indians and EIC

  • How dare you for disobeying, you shall be sent to prison!
  • We refuse to bite off the cartilage
  • The Sepoys refused biting off the pig fat from the cartilage because of their religion, because of this, the British arrested many of the sepoys for "disobeying" their order.

  • Mahatma Gandhi
  • We will fight for what's right!
  • Gandhi started a protest known as the "Salt March" in which many Indians protested in. This was a protest against the salt tax and how it was very unfair. Gandhi and the protesters marched all the way to the Indian Ocean to collect salt for themselves. The Salt March had a big impact on history and how people viewed the world, although many of the protesters were jailed.
