- The theme is that you don't always get what you want. I could have myself a girl, a job and get a bottle of whiskey.This is George complaining about always having to look after Lennie and get new jobs after every time Lennie messes up
- Behind him walked his opposite, a huge man, shapeless of face, with large, pale eyes and he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little. HIs arms didn't swing at his side, but hung loosely.Lennie is big and childish and he need George to help him.
- I think once they get to the ranch they will be working in the field and soon or later Lennie will do something to get them kicked out.
