- "'Well sir, I was on the porch and-and he came along and, you see, there was this old chiffarobe in the yard Papa'd brought in to chop up for kindlin'-Papa told me to do it while he was off in the woods but I wadn't feelin' strong enought then, so he came b--"' (Lee 241)

- Atticus is disusing with Miss, Mayella about how her live with her father is going and to explain ever detail because it could be significant in the trail but miss, Mayella takes it all as a insult.
- This scene shows that Atticus is still disusing the situation between Mayella and who beat her up. Atticus finds out that Bob Ewell, Mayella's father beater her up when she got up from getting hurt and saw her father in her face and how he is a left handed person which her face was beaten on her left side if you were to face her.
- Miss, Mayella starts off with not saying any word out of her mouth but them she burst out say that she will get Tom Robinson she she starts sobbing/crying.
