  • Pamplona Street Fights: 1510'sIgnatius at this time of his life was young and adventurous but silly and not independent. At night he would spend time with the ladies and get drunk after parties but would then lead to street fights where he and another person would throw punches and fight each other. Looking over it changed Ignatius's life as he got more mindful of things and made his change over to a saint even more impressive
  • The Battle of Pamplona: 1521Ignatius was fighting for Spain and defending Pamplona from the french. The Spanish general thought to surrender but Ignatius thought otherwise and persuaded him to keep on fighting. A cannonball was launched by the french and hit ignatius in the leg which severly injured him, shattering his bone and leg. He was carried back home to loyola by the french becuase they honoured his bravery. This affected his life because it forced him to read two books, which ultimately persuaded him to be a saint.
  • IHS Rome 1539 - 1541Ignatius along with Peter Faber and James Lainez met with the pope, the pope then put them to work on teaching scripture, theology and preaching. Ignatius and his companions travelled to Rome to discuss their future. After lots of prayer and disscussions they put fourth their idea to the pope and the pope said yes. On April 22nd 1541 their society took their vows in the newly formed order.
