  • The George Floyd Protests
  • On May 25, 2020, in Minneapolis Minnesota, George Flyod was confronted by employees from Cup Foods for using a counterfeit $20 to buy cigs.
  • The employee's demand for the cigs back, but end up calling the police
  • When police arrive they forcbily remove Flyod from his car and handcuff him
  • One of the officer's knelt on Floyd's neck for 9 minutes and 25 seconds and he died
  • Many people recorded the altercation and news spread fast. His death sparked outrage about police brutality
  • People wanted to abolish and defund the police.
  • JUSTICE FOR GEORGE FLOYD!!!!
  • Protests went on for over 2 years across the country. During that time the officers who arrested Floyd we'e charged
  • The officer who kneeled on Floyd was charged with murder. All officer's involved went to prison
  • George Floyd left a lasting legacy that continues to influence conversations about racism, justice, and equality.
  • This terrible legacy serves as a reminder of the urgent need for social change and the ongoing fight for a more fair and inclusive society.
