  • We were nomads. We did not have permanent homes.
  • We had to take refuge in caves and tent-like structures.

  • We had to move because we needed more food when we used all of it in the old area.
  • Paleolithic people were nomads. They did not have permanent homes and always had to keep moving. 
  • We learned how to farm. We could now stay in one place.
  • These people did not have time to build permanent structures. They had to move to new areas when they used all the resources in a old one.
  • We worked on building nice-looking homes with all the things we might need.
  • Paleolithic people had to follow animals for food. They did not know how to reproduce the things they used.
  • We started to form larger communities with more houses.
  • People then learned how to farm. The Neolithic people could reproduce, and stay in one place.
  • We built permanent homes. Since we could reproduce food we did not have to follow anything, or go anywhere.
  • Living in communities made it possible for people to organize themselves more efficiently. By working together, people could get more things done in a short period of time.
