- Oh no! My cat is on top of the tree and cannot come down. I am going to call the fire station for help.
- Do not worry little boy I will help get you cat down safely from the tree. I promise
- Okay thank you firefighter
- To get this little boys cat down from the tree safely I will have to do some math calculations to execute a safe plan
- I will need to find each angle to see which is best for the ladder to go in. through this method I am sure that the ladder will reach the cat

- The tree is around 40ft tall but the cat is in the middle of the tree making it around 25ft. So I will use the ladder that is connected to the firetruck but the angle has to be right
- Sin O=12/15O=Sin-1 (12/15)O+53.1301Tan(53.1301)=12/XX=12/ Tan(53.1301)=2ft
