Summative

Josh is a cub scout, his dad is the leader of a older troop. Josh's dad took him on a trip with the older boys to a cave called Stockton.

One kid got scared and Josh volunteered to take him out of the cave.

On Josh's way back he tried to follow the older boys but he couldn't keep up so he tried to find his way back out of the cave but he took a wrong turn.

Since he took a wrong turn and was lost he did what his parents always told him to do when he was lost, stay put until someone finds you. He climbed up on top of a ledge and waited for someone to find him.

Finally the cave specialist John, went into the cave to search for Josh when they passed a passage onto a ledge they heard something, it was a little boy calling for help they had found him!!

I think that the theme is risk taker. I think that is the theme because Josh had to take risks to get out just think Josh didn't have to yell for help he could have just sat there and cry but he took a risk and yelled for help.
