- I think this symbolizes that the mom is very peaceful. That she doesn't want for anyone to fight or argue. She would much rather have people getting along. We can infer that she could have fought when she was younger. She just doesn't want to fight. When her husband and Indy are fighting she tries to stop it.
- Slide: 2
- Dad: "If you EVER sit at your mother's table again with dope in you, you're out! Got it? You respect her." pg37
- I think that this quote of his symbolizes that he is very hotheaded. Throughout the story he is known as being nice to most people. He changed this time because he was dropping out and disrespecting his wife. When Indy stopped going to school the family would have to go to court. When they found out how much court was they had to make Indy go to school. When he did he would always get suspended and get out of it.
- Slide: 3
- Badger: "Violence and strong arm robbery, your moving up the ladder" pg57
- I think that badger symbolizes a character that would be funny in a serious situation. Here this quote is sounding like he is complimenting him for doing bad. He is the guy that the skaters would go to if they wanted a new board. He is the person who sells all the stuff to the skaters. He is a overweight person that loves drugs. When Indy gets kicked out Badger tells Tate who Indy is loving with. He can be helpful at times.
