  • Hi, my name is James Earl Carter, but you can call me Jimmy Carter. I was born on October 1st, 1924. I live in Plains, Georgia. I have a wife named Rosalyn Smith. I have 4 kids. 3 boys and 1 girl, Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy.
  • When I was at the age of 9, I bought five bales of cotton which I soon sold for a profit. With the money I made, I bought 5 houses which I had rented and then sole. I was also the first person from my family to graduate high school.
  • I was known for fighting against discrimination even if was very unpopular, being Georgia's 7th governor, being the United State's 39th president during a time of high inflation and rising energy costs, and for being the first president from the Deep South in over a century.
  • In 2002 I was given the Nobel Peace Prize for advancing democracy and human rights, and finding peaceful solutions to international problems.
  • When I was a teenager, I did very well in school and I was also an amazing basketball player. After being president, I was active in support of human rights and helping people over the entire world to peacefully solve conflicts. I also passed laws adding land to the public park system and I worked to save and protect the rivers in the state.
  • My most famous quote was "time for racial discrimination to be over." My quote is important because I made opportunities for African Americans and appointed them to boards.
