- Hey Carl, what's wrong. Why do you look so sad?
- Oh, hey Paula. Nothing really, I just don't feel too great.
- What, are you sick or something?
- No, not like that. I just feel so trapped. I feel so alone.
- Oh, did something happen?
- I guess. I mean, I feel really bad for how I've been treating people. Recently, I've been really mean to my friends, I'm always arguing with my parents, I'm so impatient with my little sister, and I feel like such a horrible person, but I don't know what to do.
- I get why you feel bad and all, but you don't have to feel this way.
- What do you mean? I've been such a bad person, and I just hate how I've been to others. How am I supposed to feel any different?
- The fact that you feel this way is a really good sign. It shows that you really want to move past your sins, and want to be a better person.
- Oh wow, I never really thought of it that way. But why do I feel this way?
- It's probably because your sins are holding you back. When we sin, it discourages us, making us feel worthless and small. But it's important that we don't give in to that feeling. if we do, we don't allow ourselves to repent and want to become better.
- Oh, that's make sense. Its like our sins trap us, kind of like being enslaved.
