- Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio.She first began gymnastics after going on a field trip with her daycare to a gym. She began copying their moves and the gym encouraged her to come take classes.
- Challenges she faced in her life were that her parents were addicted to drugs and she was adopted by hergrandparents. She was homeschooled and also struggled with ADHD. She still persevered and reached her goals.
- Biles first World Championship was in 2013. She was 16 years old. She won the all around Gold medal that year becoming the first African American to do so. She also won 2 gold medals, a silver, and a bronze that year.
- In 2014 and 2015 she also won gold in the all around at the World Championships. She was the only gymnast to ever win this many gold medals in the all around competition. She set a record of 10 gold medals in 3 championships.
- Simone and the US team won gold at the Rio Olympics and were known as the "Final Five". Simone took home 4 individual medals including the all around.
- In 2018 Simone became a ambassador to help foster children with scholarship funds. She also helps provide foster kids with clothing and school supplies they need through the Mattress Firm Foster kids program.
