Nurse leader rounds improve HCAHP scores. Nursing directors cannot always round on 100% of their patients everyday. Rounds are documented on paper forms, so tracking data is tedious.

Determine how many leaders we have that can round each day. Create training programs for all non-clinical directors to learn how to do leadership rounds. Create rounding assignments each day on iPads.

Training and ongoing coaching will take time to get all directors trained to complete successful rounding. Financial investment for iPads and a rounding program is also required.
Assign patients for each leader to round on daily including evening shift leaders to round on those who were missed during the day. Track correlation of percentage of rounds completed with HCAHP scores.
Closely track communication with nurses scores and likelihood to recommend hospital. Goal: 50th percentile ranking by end of fourth quarter 2021.
