Storyboard Text

  • The only thing that is an interesting change to this year is that we have to wear these handicap radios in our ears. I don't know why we have to do that.#160;
  • Honestly it's just like any other year that passes by. I don't think 2081 would be any different.
  • In a satirical story I'm reading#160; takes place the exact same year.
  • So Chris! What do you think about the new year so far?
  • Huh wonder why?
  • Ahhhhhhh
  • Chris.... Are you Okay?!
  • Maybe we should leave.....
  • I don't even know anymore... I was thinking about sad things that happened.
  • What sad things?
  • The funny thing is that I don't even remember.
  • What is he trying to remember? What I'm trying to remember?
  • Forget the sad things, If you focus on it too much you'll be miserable.
  • I guess you're right. At least I remember that you are always with me Tina. Say! You want to go to this dance tonight? It's on live television!
  • That sounds like fun! It's not like it's going to involve ballerinas and a seven foot giant. so sure, why not?
  • In his story Harrison Bergeron Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that the total equality was not the main goal to strive towards. Many people believed that in the story. In the story, the government controls people with the handicaps that they gave to the people and forced them to wear so that the government would be able to control them. The moral of the story is that differences should be celebrated rather than suppressed. This story overall was about the government taking control of the people.
