- the story starts off in front of a water bank where lennie and george had just got done running from the last town they came from and they speak of their dream
- FALLING ACTION
- the stories action starts to rise as curly tries to fight lennie , curly doesnt realize lennie's strength and lennie ends up breaking curly's hand
- Resolution
- lennie and curly's wife are in the barn as curly's wife finds out that lennie accidentally lennie killed the dog, she isnt to upset with himyet lennie wants to feel her hair in the end she starts to panic and lennie does as well, within the panic lennie accidentally breaks her neck.
- Literary device
- lennie runs off into the woods after he realizes the bad thing he did and as he runs into the woods he begins too hallucinate such as a big rabbit that starts to insult him and berate him.
- george finds lennie before the other guys do, lennie is very happy to see george, in the end george distracts lennie and kills lennie himself before the other do so he can have a respectful death by his friends hand
- for a literary device, i had to use foreshadowing, for example lennie tried to collect mice because he liked their softness yet ended up accidentally breaking their necks and killing them, foreshadowing the killing of the dog and curly's wife
