- At school....

- I mean just look at you! you look like my grandpa's closet threw up on you!

- What's wrong with my clothing? I dressed in my best stuff, and they didn't like it. What I'm wearing right now was really popular at my old school. I don't know why they don't like it. You know, Liam, you shouldn't care what others think. That was just three kids. People who don't know you have different opinions about you. Don't worry about them. Don't worry about them. Just be yourself.

- Maybe I'll meet someone nice
- Tuesday at first period...

- Well, I guess off to another day of fun school
- Is something wrong!? Are you not having fun at school???

- At school...

- Later that day...
- Why *sniff* doesn't anyone *sniff* like meeeeee *sob*
- Yep mom I'm *sniff* fine. I'm not crying. It's um....Allergies.
- Liam, are you ok? Do I hear you crying??
- Liam goes home everyday after school for the next week and he ends up crying himself to sleep every night. He never likes to talk about school, or why his mother always hears crying when he gets home.
- Monday....

- Why am I so hated??!!
- OK something's wrong!
- Well *sniff* what makes you think *sniff* that?
- For starters, everyday, you come home crying!
- I told *sniff* you. It's allergies. *sniff*
- YOU DON'T HAVE ALLERGIES!! I'll be watching you.
- Tuesday at school...
- Why are you still here, dork?
- Liam wants to go home because he doesn't think he can handle any more of the bullying, so he fakes a stomach ache
- Anything else I can get you?
- WELCOME TO THE NURSE'S OFFICE!
- No my stomach just hurts, and I want to go home.
- Liam, I want you to know that 1/3 of students get bullied every year, and some signs of bullying are faking illness, which you just did by coming home and not complaining about that
- "stomach ache" you got taken home early for, and going straight to play Among Us instead of resting like you would if you had a stomach ache. And another sign that proves that you
- are being bullied is low self esteem or feelings of helplessness. And you show that by crying yourself to sleep every night. Liam, I know you're being bullied. You should've said something.
- But now, it might be too late. Do you want to talk about it so I can help you get out of this mess?
- Liam talks for the next 2 hours about how he's been bullied ever since the first day of school, and how it makes him feel. He says he needed and still does need help, but he was too afraid to ask until his mother told him that she knew. They scheduled something with the principal to address this bullying.
- Ms. Williams, your son Noah has been very rude to Liam, and has been practicing extreme forms of bullying.
- At the meeting...
- Noah, I am very disappointed. You know better than to bully someone. You're grounded for 6 months.
- As for Liam, Mrs. Olivison has reported that Liam was experiencing major suffering from Noah's bullying. He was crying himself to sleep every night, and was too afraid to ask for help.
- Noah's punishment is Noah is expelled from this school. Thank you for your time. I would now ask you to leave the room so I can speak with Liam and his mother privately.
- Liam, I understand it's tough to stand up to bullying. So in the future, I want you to try one of these strategies: Ignore the bully, Hang out with your friends who share similar interests, and keep them close to you. If they're really your friends, they'll help. And always get help from an adult you trust.
