  • Proclamation of 1763
  • Why are you back so quickly? Didn't you just leave to do trading?
  • How is that even fair? We won the war and the land belongs to us!
  • A new proclamation that no one is allowed to pass the Appalachian Mountains. I cant even trade or be near the Indians now.
  • Stamp Act (1765)
  • We need to stop this!
  • This is violating our rights!
  • We can't let them do this! It's not fair!

  • You must let us stay in your home, it's the king's orders.
  • You don't have a choice.
  • Fine! It's not like I can do anything. Just come in and I will fix the beds and make food.
  • No! You will not stay in out house, you do nothing at take up space.
  • The British government drew a line down the crest of the Appalachian mountains and tell settlers to stay east of that line and Indians to stay west of it as an attempt to keep colonists and American Indians from killing each other.
  • Many people were very upset when the Stamp Act was passed and thought that it violated their rights. They had to buy a stamp for any paper they used. They argued that Parliament had no right to tax them.
  • Colonists were forced to furnish British troops with housing. They were upset because providing the soldiers costs money. The colonists did not want to keeps troops in their colony, they thought the soldiers just took up space and did nothing.
