- The Service Member (SM) gets some career-changing news.
- So many steps. I can't hardly remember none.
- The SM is placed on the medical clearance list by the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC).

- Since the waiver process isn't part of ASIMS triage, I just won't worry about it. Clickety click click click!
- The Profile Officer opens the medical clearance list in ASIMS and performs triage against AHLTA record: *is this a new, current, or updated profile? *are there disqualifying factors --> pending waiver *is the SM seeing a specialist for anything?

- The Profile Officer electronically signs the medical clearance. The Profile Officer copies the ASIMS printout to AHLTA using "add note" and then opens the 422 module in ASIMS.
- The Profile Officer opens the 422 module in ASIMS. If the SM is cleared, the module is closed. If the SM is not cleared, it goes to the waiver process.
