As soon as Rabab told her parents what happened, they turned on the news. They even witnessed the second plane hit the tower and everything started to crumble.

Rabab and her father go to a town hall where they are met with screams of hate and intense glares.

It took a while before Rabab and many muslims felt safe to leave their houses. Many people were putting American flags on their cars and houses to prove their allegiance and nationalism including Rabab's family.
