  • Im Ghost, I want to stay on city track but. I keep running into problems.
  • Beginning
  • Im way faster than you.
  • This is Ghost hes a 7th grader, his actual name is Castle Cranshaw, he struggles to overcome a difficult childhood he needs to find a new direction in life with the help of his track coach, Coach Brody.
  • Middle
  • No your not, Race me then.
  • Can i rejoin the team? please.
  • The Main Character in this series of books is Ghost his friends are Sunny, Patina, Lu his coach is Coach Brody.
  • End
  • Fine, you can go back on the team ONLY because we need you.
  • For Ghost it is hard for him to stay out of trouble Ghost must learn how to manage his anger. He is on a city track team ran by his Coach named Coach Brody.
  • Moral / lesson learned
  • The lesson learned is you should always face your fears.
  • Ghost wants to become the fastest on the city track team but his past is holding him back. In order to become the fastest on the team he must be faster then Sunny, Sunny is the fastest on the team currently. He does not win the race and gets kicked off the team.
  • Once Ghost gets kicked off the team he thinks he deserves a 2nd chance and goes back to ask if he can rejoin the City Track team again. Surprisingly his Coach says sure.
  • The lesson learned hereis to face your fears at first Ghost was scared to ask the coach to go back on to the City Track team oncehe did it his fear went away because his coach said yes. This is the moral/lesson of the story of the book Ghost by: Jason Reynolds.
