- CORRECT. FREUD DIVIDED THE MIND INTO THREE PROVINCES: ID, EGO AND SUPEREGO. ID IS THE UNCONSCIOUS DRIVEN BY PLEASURE PRINCIPLE AND IT IS PRESENT FROM BIRTH, SUPEREGO IS THE PRECONSCIOUS DRIVEN BY MORALITY PRINCIPLE, AND THE EGO WHICH IS THE CONSCIOUS MIND DRIVEN BY REALITY PRINCIPLE. EGO BALANCES THE DRIVES OF ID AND SUPEEREGO.

Each components contributes to the personality and three provinces interact to influence individualpersonality and behavior.
