- In this scene Isabel panicks as she realizes her sister Ruth is no longer in the house.We later find out she was moved to a diffirent house after no one wanted to buy her
- Lady seymour, Get up get up,the house is on fire
- In this part of the story Isabel goes to the house of one of Madam locktons relatives lady seymour togiver her a helping hand .However the house is set on fire during a riot and Isabel and lady seymour flee
- In this scene Isabel visits her friend Curzon who was aiding soilders in the revolutionary war and was made a prisoner of war by the British after the rebel forces were overwhelmed.

- This is the final scene of the book in which courozon and Isabel escape to land on a roaboat.
