- Do you bite your thumb at us, sir.
- The story begins with a fight in the streets of Verona between the Capulets and Montagues
- No sir, I do not bite my thumb at you; but I bite my thumb, sir.
- What noise is this? Give me my long sword, ho!
- So, the fight began.
- Thou villain Capulet!—Hold me not, let me go.
- Why, such is love’s transgression. Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, which thou wilt propagate, to have it prest with more of thine.
- Meanwhile, Romeo infatuated and miserable, can talk of nothing but his love for Rosaline and her cruelty in refusing to love him back.
- Tell me in sadness, who is that you love?
- Rosaline
- ohhh
- O, teach me how I should forget to think.
- By giving liberty unto thine eyes: Examine other beauties.
- Take thou some new infection to thy eye, And the rank poison of the old will die.
- Your plantain leaf is excellent for that.
- My master is the great rich Capulet; and if you be not of the house of Montagues, I pray come and crush a cup of wine. Rest you merry!
- I’ll go along, no such sight to be shown, but to rejoice in splendor of mine own.
