- Time to go to the British forts to trade!
- ok, lets go...you got the furs,and canoe.
- isn't it great that the first nations come to us.. all we have to do is sit back and relax, and we get the furs. Ha, the French don't have a chance
- hahaha, you are so right!
- oh hey there! uh..who are you?
- we are the french...trade with us instead!
- Before the French used to come to the First Nations to trade, but now the First Nations have to travel to trade with the Hudson's Bay company. They liked it when the furs were delivered to them.
- ok then we will trade with u, we never really wanted to travel anyway.
- look, we have to trade with the British..
- we know...but we are right here..and we have the same things the British have. So u can go home.
- The British did not come to the First Nations, unlike the French. The First Nations had to come to them.

- Since the French took the furs first the British fell behind in the fur trade...
- It's the French! they intercepted the furs, they traded with the them before they got here
- The British then traveled into the interior to compete with the French.
