- Scene 1: Paris informs Friar Lawrence about his plan to marry Juliet, but the Friar worries that everything is being rushed. He makes a plan for Juliet to drink a sleeping potion, so she'll wake up on the wedding day in a family tomb, since she will be presumed dead. Romeo would be informed so they can be reunited. Scene 2: Juliet pretends to be excited to marry Paris, leading to Lord Capulet moving the wedding to the following day.Scene 3: Juliet is thinking about whether the Friar gave her actual poison, and if the plan would actually work. Scene 4: Lord Capulet hears music, signaling Paris's arrival. He ordered the nurse to awaken JulietScene 5: The nurse finds Juliet motionless on her bed, not knowing she took a sleeping potion. The wedding was turned into a funeral, and her body was placed in the family tomb, going along with the Friar's plan.
