- Thank you so much father! I will write in it a lot!
- I've gotten you a diary for your birthday!
- Conflict
- We will be safe from the Nazis in this annex girls. The Van Danns and Mr.Dussel will be living with us.
- We are so relieved, I hope we get along with the others.
- Rising Action
- Anne, stay out of this! You are only a young girl!
- The war will be over in 2 years.
- Please stop arguing, this is already stressful enough.
- No, 3 years.
- On, Anne Frank's 13th birthday and she receives a red and white checkered diary from her father. Anne would later go on to write about life as a Jew in WWII, school, crushes, friendships, day to day life, and so much more.
- Climax
- I feel so jealous of Margot, it's like she is perfect and everybody hates me. At least I have my dad but it feels like he doesn't even have time for me anymore.
- The Franks moved to Amsterdam to avoid being killed by the Nazis however the Nazis started to invade Amsterdam and the Netherlands so the Franks went into hiding with the Van Daan family and Mr.Dussel in the annex above Anne's father's work.
- Falling Action
- Okay father, I am sorry.
- You can not be around Peter as much as you have been. I do not approve of it.
- The Frank's settle into the annex with their acquaintances and life slowly becomes harder as the war goes on. The people living in the annex would listen to updates on the radio and the adults would argue and bet on when the war would be over. Food also became more scarce.
- Resolution
- People always look past the good that I can offer and look at my bad traits, I just feel like I am not good enough. I like to think of myself as a happy person on the inside, but it's like i'm not okay on the outside.
- Anne starts to feel isolated, lonely, and sad. She feels like everybody hates her and is jealous of her sister. Anne was often scolded Mrs.Van Daan and Mr.Van Daan, and Mr.Dussel. Anne loves her father tho and feels like he has less time for her now.
- I just feel so sad and lonely, like nobody understands me.
- As the war progresses and Anne has lived in the annex for a while now, she starts to have a crush on the Van Daan's son, Peter. Anne's father disproves of this. Anne also talks about the war, how buildings are being set on fire, and their are bombs dropped by planes, Anne feels scared about this.
- Last nights air raid was so scary, I hope it doesn't happen again.
- Anne's struggles continue and life continues as well. Eventually Anne writes her last diary entry on August 1,1994. This diary entry is about how Anne feels as though she has a positive side and a negative side, and she feels like people always see past the good and look at Anne for her negative traits. 3 days after writing her last diary entry, Anne and everybody in the Annex were found by the Nazi's and taken away. Anne went to multiple concentration camps and eventually died of Typhoidfever in Bergen Belson concentration camp.
- This was what Anne's last diary entry was about. 3 days after writing this Anne was discovered by the Nazis and later died.
