Oh boy, here he goes again...
Slide: 2
So basically I just love Taylor Swift. Her music and lyricism are second-to-none and her storytelling through her music is incredible. She paints pictures like no other artist and has lyrics that relate to any situation you could find yourself in. In 2006, she released her debut self-titled album, beginning her young country music career at just 16. Her sophomore album, Fearless gave her international fame, winning her first major awards at the Grammys and the VMAs. Then came her 100% self-written album Speak Now. Next, Red. Then, her genre-switch album, 1989, marked the beginning of her pop music career. After going radio silent for over a year, she followed this with surprise-dropping reputation. Then, Lover, her first album with her new record label after splitting with Big Machine Records. Scooter Braun buys the masters of her first 6 albums and Taylor vows to rerelease those albums so that she can get paid for that music. The pandemic hits, and she creates the sister folk albums, folklore and evermore, out of feelings of isolation and solitude. Taylor then releases Fearless (Taylor's Version), marking the beginning of her rerecording era. She followed that with Red (Taylor's Version). Midnights was the first new album in a while. Then she goes on The Eras Tour, the biggest tour in the world. While on tour she releases Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version). She follows the cycle of two rerecords and one original album by releasing The Tortured Poets Department at midnight, a surprise double-album with The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology being released at 2 AM. With each of these albums, she has touched her fans' hearts and she has only grown in popularity and fame. Every lyric has meanings that are different to everyone, yet unite everyone in a shared love for the lyrics and song vibes. Overall, she is my favorite artist and she will remain that way for years to come. You should totally listen to her, dude!
