AHHHHH!!!HELP!
Laura and I have been friends forever and we both lead normal lifes going to school and wishing we had cellphones!
The following day
But it was until today that everything changed. At 4.35am a giant 7.1 earthquake hit Christchurch cutting out power and water. It was a miracle that no one died!
More aftershocks countinued that night. Our house wasn't too badly damaged but Laura's was really bad!
A Few Months later

I'm going to miss you!
The next day we could see all the damage that had been done and liquefaction was EVERYWHERE!! We all helped to try clean it all up but there was just so much of it.
Laura's house was so badly damaged by the earthquake that she stayed the night at my house. My Aunt and Uncle still had no power or water at theirs so they stayed too. We all slept in the lounge so we could be together.
Thank you so much for leting us stay the night. Our house is trashed!
Not a problem!
Having at least one aftershock a day was our new normal and we were just starting to get used to them. We were allowed back at school but we were always living in fear. Laura's house had so much damage that she had to move away!
