- Sublimation is another one of Freud's defense mechanisms. Sublimation is when someone puts their emotions into a certain activity. For example, someone may put all of their emotion into running and be motivated to run in a situation where they experience similar emotions to when they first out their emotions into running.
- Rationalization is one of Freud's defense mechanisms. Rationalization is when someone makes up a "logical" reason to make an event less threatening. For example, one may say that the cause for them failing a test was because the unit is hard when the actual reason is because they didn't study or focus in class.
- Introjection is the last one of Freud's defense mechanisms we are going to discuss. Introjection is behaving like someone else for a variety of reasons from either wanting to be like them or missing them. For example, someone may do the same things as someone in their wanted career because they dream of pursuing the same career and feel that repeating what their role model has done will give them the same results.
