- The Continental Congress appointed George Washington as Commander in Chief over John Hancock due to past military experience.This is very important because George Washington became one of the most important parts of the Continental Army winning the war due to his amazing battle strategies and tactics. He also introduced spies into the game.
- George Washington and an army of 2,500 soldiers crossed the Delaware to ambush a garrison of Hessian Mercenaries.This set the stage for another victory at Princeton that boosted the American troops morale.

- John Burgoyne tried to take control of the Hudson River to separate New York and the middle colonies. The Green Mountain Boys took out some of the army who had tried to get supplies and John ended up surrounded by the Continental Army and surrendered.This victory turned the tide of the war and boosted American morale significantly
- George Washington led 17,000 troops to surround a British-occupied Yorktown. The British had been there to receive ships that had never come. George Washington had them surrounded until General Cornwallis surrendered and the Americans won the war. The Americans won the war because of this victory.

- The Treaty of Paris declared the colonists free from England, gave them fishing rights off the coast of Canada, and allowed them to expand west past the colonies. The colonial and British representatives signed it, officially ending the war.
