  • Thane of Cawdor King Duncan is impressed by Macbeth's battle strategies. So impressed he makes Macbeth Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth also became Thane of Cawdor because "the Thane of Cawdor is captured during battle. According to King Duncan, he will be executed for his treasonous crimes." Macbeth is excited, especially as soon after their meeting with the witches Macbeth is made Thane of Cawdor by King Duncan, in return for his bravery in the battle. He writes to his wife, Lady Macbeth, who is as excited as he is.
  • The Prophecy After a battle in Scotland, Macbeth and his friend Banquo meet three witches, who make three prophecies - Macbeth will be a thane of cawdor, Macbeth will be king and Banquo's sons will be kings. Banquo is skeptical of the Witches' intentions and remains unconvinced of the Witches' prophecy.
  • The killings Lady Macbeth and Macbeth get King Duncan guards drunk, so that Macbeth can kill them and the king while they sleep. They plan to blame the death of kind Duncan on the guards. Just to cover their tracks.
  • The Invite Macbeth invites King Duncan, and some courtier to his new castle for a feast. Little does King Duncan know, Macbeth and his wife plan on killing him. In doing so he plans to become king. Macbeth is hesitant at first but gets convinced by his wife to fulfill the deed.
  • All hail Macbeth king of Scotland.
  • Banqo you and your son must die. Order of the king.
  • The initiation After the death of King Duncan. Scotland needed a new leader/king and the people thought Macbeth was the only right, chosen to be king. That being said Macbeth became king. Banqo was happy the prophecy was starting to become real. And was exited for his kids.
  • The Order King Macbeth orders two assassins to kill Banqo and his son. He does this because he is suspicious that Macbeth killed Duncan to become king. Also Macbeth wants Fleance dead because he is Banquo's son and it is prophecy that Banquo's children will be king according to the Prophecy.
