- Eun-sook brought sponge cake and yoghurt that the church aunties were handing out. She tries to convince him to go home.

- Repetition of the word "blood" in the man's speech reminds Dong-ho of his grandmother. In life, his grandmother had been quiet and kind and her death carried these qualities. When she had died Dong-ho saw something seemingly fluttering up from her face like a bird escaping from her shuttered eyes above the oxygen mask.
- Slide: 3
- When the Provincial Office could no longer hold the bodies Dong-ho carried them outside. When Jin-su saw this, he immediately worried about what would happen if it rained. So he made arrangements to move the bodies to the gym.
