- The colonists had new taxes enforced on them by the British government. The King and the parliament wanted the British to help with taxes because of the war they fought and believed it was the colonists' duty to pay taxes. The Sugar Act is the act that makes you pay taxes when trading, on sugar and molasses.
- We are in horible dept we need to make some money
- That is a good idea the French and Indian war was not cheap at all! I got the name I will call this the sugar act!
- We should tax them by enforcing a new law ..... That is a good idea!

- The colonist smuggled/sneaked in illegal goods because of the taxes enforced by the British called the sugar act!

- They are trying to make the colonists obey the law and do the right thing but the colonists are planning on boycotting the British to show them that they are real British citizens !!!
- WHY IT ISNT FAIR!!! Only our house of burgesses is allowed to make taxes and laws !
- FOLLOW MY LAWS IF YOU ARE CAUGHT SMUGGLING OR TRADING ILLEGALY YOU WILL BE SENT TO COURT AND FIGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM
