Storyboard Text
- Prince Philip the II was the current king of Spain during the armada of 1588, his kingdom was heavily catholic and was against Protestantism
- Queen Elizabeth the I was the newest ruler of England and also was in power during the invincible armada. Her kingdom was just turned to protestant
- King Philip II had recently turned the inquisition against the protestants and started to crack down on the Netherlands and soon thought out to attack England and overthrow the Queen.
- Queen Elizabeth was out for Philip the day she was crowned, she had secretly helped the Netherlands against the Spanish and was ready for Philip to attack.
- The English were prepared to fight the Spanish and had defeated them with quick hit and run attacks and also had help from their ally the weather. From this point onward England would be the dominant naval power
- The battle ended almost as it started for the Spanish, the English sent fireboats to disrupt their formation and their ships were outclassed for the enemy they were fighting. Spain would never recover
