- You know what I realized, we rely on foreign good too much. What can we do about it?
- America realized that they were too reliant on getting goods from foreign trading so they started manufacturing their own goods.
- We could manufacture our own goods! That way we can have all the supplies we need without having to get them from foreign places.
- After the War of 1812, Americans were even more patriotic than before. They had lots of pride and were proudly identified as Americans vs as Marylanders, Virginians, or citizens of other states. The national anthem and the flag became symbols of patriotism after the war.
- We love America!
- This is so unfair!
- After the war of 1812, Americans wanted to expand westward. When they did this, they took over lots of Native American land. Because they lost their land, they soon became weak and they were forced to live on reservation instead of being able to live anywhere they wanted.
- We want your land! We will go westward to get it.
