  • Slavery MUST be abolished at all costs!
  • Turmoil in Kansas: Pro-Slavery vs. Free Supporters
  • Slavery supporters deserve to die, its not my fault.
  • John Brown's Influence
  • Yeah! That plan is the only way to abolish slavery!
  • We must raid an arsenal in Harper's Ferry!
  • John Brown fiercely believes in abolishing slavery, and will even go to psychopathic lengths to achieve this.
  • The Attack
  • Brown hacks 5 slavery supporters to death after dragging them from their homes into the middle of the street. He hoped it would send a warning to slavery supporters.
  • Not as Planned
  • FREEZE! You are under arrest!
  • NOOOOO!! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!
  • John Brown implores upon others that violence is the only way to do away with slavery for good.
  • Impact
  • The North is moving aggressively against us...WE MUST FIGHT BACK!
  • October 16, 1859: The date of John Brown's Raid on Harpers Ferry, in which he leads a group of 21 men in an attack on the U.S. arsenal.
  • THE ATTACK IS UNDERWAY!
  •  1859 - October 18, 1859: U.S. marines led by Colonel Robert E. Lee and and Lieutenant J.E.B. Stuart joined the battle at Harpers Ferry. Ten of the militant abolitionists were killed by the militia, John Brown was wounded and, together with the rest of his followers, were arrested
  • John Brown's actions spurred the South into aggressive action against the North, leading up to the Civil War.
