The battle of Lexington and Concord started the American Revolution. On April 19, 1775, shots sounded and the fighting began between the colonial militia and British troops. Paul revere was also sent to warn other towns that the British were coming. When the smoke cleared, the colonists had won.
Battle of Bunker Hill
On, June 17, 1775, Colonial militiamen raided Boston. The British were thinking about taking hills outside of Boston for a strategical advantage. The American troops took the hill first after hearing he British's plans. They tried to defend the hills but eventually were forced to leave with minimum casualties because they ran out of ammunition. The British on the other hand suffered far more casualties, but were able to take the hills.
