In his storyHarrison Bergeron, Kurt Vonnegut is trying to convey that an equal society may be the most corrupted. The advanced are given handicaps to make them equal to those that are normal. It could be argued that the normal are scared of the extra intelligent , and attractive being at an advantage . Kurt is ultimately conveying the soon downfall of trying to make society follow all of the same standards. What makes up a unique society is our differences all around , and thats what should ultimately be encouraged.
