- Life is great, we made a treaty with British and noe we live in pace.
- We now have power over the Cherokee
- I know!!
- French and Indian War
- We are getting attacked!! Where is the British for protection?!?!
- The British wanted to sign a treaty with the Cherokee. They did it with the fur traders so they wouldn't befriend the French. When the Cherokee signed the treaty they thought they were friends. When the British signed they thought they had taken control over the Cherokee tribe.
- British Stopped Giving Protection
- There was 30 years of peace between the British and Cherokee. After the treaty was signed neither of them attacked eachother and all was good. The Cherokee thought since they were allies the British would give them Protection. The British like I said earlier thought they owned the Cherokee so they could do whatever they want.
- The Cherokee War
- When the Cherokee were attacked by the French and their Indian allies they were expecting protection from the British. The British didn't give it and the Cherokee felt cheated. Because of that the British got teretonial gains all over north america. After that disputes were happening over the subsequent frontier policy and then paying the war's expenses led to colonial dicontent.
- The Cherokee Lost Land
- IF YOU DONT SIGN THIS THEN WE ARE GONNA KEEP KILLING YALL!!
- The Britsh whent they signed the treaty thought they owned the Cherokee so they could do whatever they want. When the Cherokee were expecting protection but didn't get it they felt cheated and retaliated. As retaliation they took the horses of the Britsh settlers. The British settlers attacked the Cherokee becauswe they were mad and the Cherokee retaliated back once again. The royal governor of South Carolina stopped all the trade and took the Cherokee peace representatives hostage.
- The Cherokee War went on for about two years which led to many Cherokee deaths. The war started because the Cherokee was amd at the British. They were mad because they didn't get the protection they thought they deserved. The treaty that ended the war made the Cherokee give up a lot of land.
- There was a treaty at the end of the war that ended it but also madde the Cherokee give up some land. The land that they gave up had to go to Britain. Britain had won so there was a clear point of who should get the land. If they had not signed the treaty then there could have been many more deaths. The land that Britain did get helped make South Carolina a colony.
