- We are gender-neutral parenting. Leo is only 3 and is obsessed with this costume. He wont take it off. He is practicing his freedom of expression and choice.
- Leo is wearing a pink princess costume?
- Well Leo is in daycare with children not parents. Kids are not mean. They are taught to be mean by their parents of by society.
- Leo may get bullied by the kids here at daycare. Some parents are gonna think your choice of parenting is cruel and immoral.
- Leo has 2 older siblings. A brother and a sister. He plays with both male and female toys. But, has always preferred to play with Julia's toys and costumes. It's okay. It's normal.
- How did this happen? Its not right. Leo is a boy. He should play and dress like a little boy!
- Raising a child gender-neutral has its challenges. We are allowing Leo to choose a gender whenever he feels inclined to do so. Allowing him to be himself and find his way is very healthy.
- Is it helathy to raise a child gender-neutral?
- Studies show that raising a GN child will make them feel free to express themselves openly and creatively. And, get bullied less by societal expectations and stigmas.
- What is something positive that come from raising a gender-neutral child?
- Yes, for Leo to explore gender toles is normal. For now gender clothing is not a sign Leo is under stress or will have a troubled child.
