Marbury was unhappy that Madison did not deliver the commissions. Marbury then decided to sue Madison.

Madison and Marbury then decide to take it to court. The supreme court then voted and decided on if the commissions should be allowed. In the end they critized Jefferson and Madison for doing nothing with the commissions. So they then decided the commissions should not be given out.
This is unjust and the commissions should be allowed!

In the end the Supreme court ruled against Marbury's commissions because they thought it was unconstitutional. Jefferson was also critized because him and Madison did nothing with their commissions before. For the overall outcome of the case the Supreme court won because they made a new law. The Principle of Judicial Review that states " The court has the power to strike down laws that violate the constitution".
I think we should create a law to give out the missing commissions.
That would be unconstitutional and the supreme court judges would over rule that instantly!
