Hi Kate, actually I was unable to understand network topologies and their advantages
Hello Lucy!! Nice to see you
No problem.....See this page, I have written every thing on this page.
Network Topologies- It refers to the layout in which various components of a network, like nodes, links, peripherals, etc., are connected and communicate with each other. There are 2 types of topology-1- Physical 2- Logical Network topologies are categorized into the following basic types-1- Point-to-Point: ADVANTAGES- 1- More suitable for small areas where computers are in close proximity. 2- FASTER RELIABLE CONNECTION2- Bus Topology: ADVANTAGES- 1- Ideal to use in small networks where cable requirement is relatively small.3- Star Topology: ADVANTAGES- 1- Low setup cost 2- Robust network4- Ring Topology: ADVANTAGES- 1-Used in both LAN WAN setups5-Tree Topology: ADVANTAGES- 1- Expansion of network is possible and easy.6- Mesh Topology: ADVANTAGES- 1-It can handle a large volume of data traffic. 2-Expansion and modifications can be done without affecting the other nodes.
Thanks Kate ... You are the best !!!!
Take this page with you, Hope you understand the concept
