In the book Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate, Jackson likes facts better then things that are made up. For example: on page 7, Jackson says" I like facts. Always have. true stuff." This shows that Jackson is smart and he knows that he is unique.
Jackson is imaginative because he can see a giant black cat named Crenshaw, Jackson told crenshaw, "THAT HE DOESN'T EXIST".
Jackson did not know that he can see crenshaw but still he likes facts,
When crenshaw said to jackson, on pg.138 crenshaw said "I'M A CAT," and jackson said " I KNOW ." Then a bunch of big guys seid to Jackson and said " WHO YOU TALKING TO, DOOFUS?" This quote is showing that Jackson is getting picked on by big kids.
Jackson and his dad said to each other " WE ARE HOME LESS". his dad said, Jackson sed back to dad " WE ARE NOT HOMELESS."
In the end of the book crenshaw is leaving, Jackson said "I hope you come back when I am in a bad mood again"
