Storyboard Text

  • Good Day Bro! Did you bring all the tools and materials that I told you to bring for the project that we will make today? We will make a circuit of two bulbs where bulb 1 is controlled by a single pole switch, bulb two is controlled in two different locations(3-way switches) and a ground fault current interrupter or GFCI using a flexible metallic tubing.
  • Of course Jake, I brought all those things but before we start doing the circuit, can you tell me again what GFCI is and how it works? Because I forgot it.
  • Yeah sure, GFCI is an electrical device that is commonly installed in residential electrical circuits and its price is higher than the usual outlets. This electrical device detects ground faults and interrupts the flow of electric current.
  • For your question, how does it work? The GFCI continuously monitors the flow of electricity within a circuit to spot any current loss. If the current flowing through the circuit changes even slightly from the current returning (to complete the circuit), the GFCI turns off the power to the affected circuit instantly. To prevent a harmful dose of electricity, the GFCI cuts power in milliseconds
  • Let’s start so that we can finish it early.
  • What are the procedures?
  • Oh thank you very much, now I understand it
  • First step is to prepare the project plan, aswell as the tools, materials, and equipment that are needed.: Second step is to study and analyze theworking drawing.: Third step is to wear the Personal Protective Equipment.: Fourth step is to remove the knockouts on the electrical boxes where the conduit will insert.: Fifth step, based on the working drawing, layout and measure the location of all electrical boxes.
  • : Sixth step is to install the electricalboxes.: Seventh step is to cut the tube to the length you need it to be.: Eighth step is to ream conduit ends.: Ninth Step is to follow the work plan toinstall the flexible tubing.: Tenth step, secure conduit to the boxesusing the connector and the locknuts.: Eleventh step, check the mounted boxes’horizontality and verticality.: twelfth step, insert the wires to theflexible tubing
  • : thirteenth step is to make the appropriate wiring connections and terminations.: Fourteenth step, use a multi-tester to lookfor ground or short circuits in the wiring installation.: Fifteenth step, ask someone who has abackground in EIM to check the whole circuit.:Sixteenth step, check that the circuit works.
  • : The last step is to ensure a clean workplace.: That’s all and now, we can pass it to our teacher.
  • : Thank you for your cooperation, King.
  • I hope we get high grades from this circuit.
  • Thank you again King.
  • I know that we can get that high grade because we deserve it. We did our best to make this circuit functionable and well presented.
  • Thank you also for the cooperation.
