Uses of Different Metamorphic Rocks

- I did not understood our lesson earlier about rocks. I mean, they're just rocks! Nothing is so important about them, right?
- Nope! You're wrong! Rocks are essential to us. My favorite is the metamorphic rocks! Let me show you and different kinds of it and their uses. Let's go to the library!
- My favorite metamorphic rock is marble. It is a limestone that has undergo many changes. Marbles were used to build temples back then and it is still used as as building and sculpture material today.
- Wow! That's so cool! What are the other kinds of this rock?
- Another kind are schist and slate! They are both a foliated metamorphic rock which are also used as a building and landscape material for designing.
- Wow! So these rocks really are important, huh?
- They are! Another favorite of mine is metamorphic gneiss. It has many uses such as floorings, gravestones, ornamental stones, and work surfaces. It's really cool to know the uses these stones that they give us.
- It really is! Now, I can appreciate the rocks I step on everyday and be grateful to them.
