  • Angry/Regession
  • Honey, it's time to get family pictures.
  • Do we have to take family pictures, it is really dumb and I don't want to take pictures.
  • Guilt/Compensation
  • I'm so sorry I'm late. I will do anything to make this up to you. I love your new sweater and I also brought you some chocolates.
  • I can't be going out with you Jake if your are going to embarrass me by showing up late to our dates, Chase.
  • Guilt/Projection
  • At least I wasn't the one who threw the football. That was a terrible throw anyways.
  • Nate, the boy in the black hoodie, is feeling angry about getting his picture taken. In the defense mechanism, Regression, a person with have a tantrum which is getting angry a someone or thing over a certain situation.
  • Guilt/Rationalization
  • I so sorry I was low on gas which made me late for work and I did see you driving through the intersection.
  • Chase is feeling guilty for coming late to his date with his girlfriend. He is feeling this because he feels bad for showing up late and is trying to make up for coming late.
  • Embarrassed/Repression
  • Drew feels guilty for accidentally missing the football, which caused it to break the TV. He feels this because he knows that he and his brother should not have been throwing the football in the house. Drew is trying to blame his brother for breaking the TV, even though it was his idea to throw the football in the house.
  • Embarrassed/Suppression
  • Haha! that was a bad kick and I can't believe you did that considering you are a soccer player.
  • DONK!
  • Brent is feeling guilty for crashing into Andrew's new Porsche. He feels this way because he knows he accidentally drove through a stop sign without stopping. Brent is also trying to get out of the situation by giving reasons why he did crash into Andrew's car by accident.
  • Come one man your just hit my brand new Porsche GTRS2.
  • Billy feels embarrassed because he didn't notice that Bob scored a goal. He is unintentionally blocking out those feelings, which is called repression.
  • How did you miss that Nate?! You were standing right there before I kicked the Soccer ball.
  • Bob missed scoring a goal and felt embarrassed because the ball hit the goalpost. He feels this way because he usually doesn't miss scoring a goal when playing with Bob. Billy is trying to intentionally ignore Bob making fun of him for missing, and is trying to think of something else to block out his feelings.
  • He doesn't mean it because earlier he missed blocking my shot by a mile.
